This Is Halloween

"Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see, This our town of Halloween. This is Halloween! This is Halloween!" The Nightmare Before Christmas

Fall is absolutely one of the most amazing times of the year! It brings sweater weather, county fairs, football and all things pumpkin spice! But have you ever experienced fall with Mickey Mouse? It is my absolute favorite time of year to take a Disney Destination vacation and for so many reasons...

Walt Disney World

Although this year may look a little different due to covid precautions, there is plenty of Fall Festivities to take in at the House of Mouse in Orlando, Florida.

After Hours Boo Bash is a great way to enjoy the Magic Kingdom park while getting to skip some of the longer wait times you would experience during the day. On select evenings from now until October 31st, you can enjoy this spectacular Halloween event featuring themed character cavalcades, with some of your favorite characters dressed in their Halloween best. Have your candy buckets ready to trick or treat throughout the theme park, and try some specialty food and drinks such as "Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake" and "Apple Ginger Dale" (Frozen Apple Cider).

The party begins at 9pm and ends at the stroke of midnight, but guests who purchase this separate ticketed event can enter the park as early as 7pm. This allows plenty of time to find a spot to watch the new firework show, "Disney Enchantment" before partying the night away. Don't worry though, there will be no "Hocus Pocus" from Winfred, so dancing until you die is completely optional.

Disneyland

If you prefer to vacation in the west coast, there are plenty of Halloween treats to enjoy at the both theme parks. At Disneyland, you can visit the Haunted Mansion where Jack Skellington and friends have "Decked The Halls" of the 999 happy haunts, or visit the Mainstreet Pumpkin Festival to take an Instagram worthy photo with the iconic Mickey pumpkin.

At California Adventure, be sure to visit Guardians of the Galaxy Monsters After Dark to partner with Rocket the Raccoon in order to save Groot. You don't want to miss Radiator Springs to see the festive décor and photo opportunities with Lighting McQueen and Tow-Mater in their costumes.

Similar to the After Hours Boo Bash at the Walt Disney World Resort, you can purchase separate tickets for the Oogie Boogie Bash Party at the California Adventure Park. The event begins at 6pm and ends at 11pm, but guests can begin entering the park as early as 3pm.

Disney Cruise Line

Maybe you prefer to experience Halloween on the High Seas! Disney Cruise Lines offers special themed cruises to help you get in the spirit where you and your family can enjoy not so scary activities, eerie entertainment and bewitching décor. You wont want to miss out on Mickey's Mouse-querade costume and trick or treat party. Have your cameras ready for Jack Skellington and Sally after the Sing and Scream midnight movie.

Speaking of photo ops... make sure you get one with your ships signature pumpkin tree. Here is a photo of us celebrating with Grim from the Disney Dream on our cruise in September 2018.

You can learn more about "The Legend of the Pumpkin Trees" in this short video.

Aulani

If you prefer something a little more tropical, Disney's Aulani Resort will have you covered in the pumpkin spice and everything nice category. Some of the all-inclusive activities include an Ohana pumpkin carving contest, or Keiki pumpkin decorating for the little ones. They will also have Halloween cookie decorating, trick or treating, Ohana Halloween movie nights and an Aloha style Dance party. All activities can be found in the daily Iwa activity planner upon arrival.

Are you ready to spend your fall season celebrating with Mickey Mouse? It's not too late to book a last minute trip or begin planning for next year. See recipe for "living your best life" below!

"Bringeth to a full rousing bubble, then add two drops oil of boil and a dead man's toe. Next, add a dab of newt saliva, dash of pox. Stir thrice. One final thing and all is done: add a piece of thine own tongue. Administer one drop to victim and stand back. When victim's life force shows, inhale the glowing aura. When the aura is extinguished, the victim is dead and you shall be young again." Hocus Pocus
